on Eating Disorders and Obesity, for Physicians, Physician Assistants, and Nurse
Practitioners at Johnnys Italian Steakhouse, Moline, 5:00 p.m. registration, 5:30 -
7:30 lecture. CMEs will be offered.
The cost is free
Wednesday, October
21, 2009, Night Eating Syndromes and the Treatment of Eating Disorders, will be for
nurses, social workers, therapists, school personnel, parents and other interested
community members at I-Wireless, Moline,
9:30 a.m. registration, 10 - noon lecture. CEUs and CPDUs
will be offered. The cost is free.

Eating Disorders Consortium
According to ANAD (National
Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders), anorexia has the highest
mortality rate of any mental illness. With this in mind, the Q.C. Eating Disorders
Consortium is passionate in its mission to be guided by the Amy Helpenstell
Foundations message of help, hope and healing by promoting awareness, understanding,
diagnosis and treatment for eating disorders in our community.
Our board meets the second Monday of
the month, at noon, at Community Support Program, second floor, 2200 3rd
Avenue, Rock Island. Let us know if you would be interested in adding your e-mail address

Our Quad Cities Eating Disorders
Support Group meets every first and third Wednesdays of the month, 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.,
at Trinity Enrichment Center, 4622 Progress Drive, Suite A, Davenport, IA. Facilitators
are Betsy Zmuda-Swanson and Meghan Ward.
